Angela Andrews was appointed by the City of Hayward to the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency effective February 2022. The city provides water to a population of approximately 154,000 residents.
Ms. Andrews was elected to Hayward’s City Council in 2020. She currently serves on the Council’s Economic Development Committee, Infrastructure Committee, and Keep Hayward Clean and Green Task Force. She also serves as the Delegate for Hayward Local Agency Committee, and as the Alternate for South Hayward Bart Station Access Authority and the East Bay Discharge JPA.
Prior to her election, Ms. Andrews was appointed to serve on the City of Hayward’s Keep Hayward Clean and Green Task Force in 2016, and on the Planning Commission in 2018. She was also involved in Downtown Streets Team – Hayward Advisory Council from 2019-2020.
Ms. Andrews earned her B.A. in Arts in Political Science and Sociology from University of California, Los Angeles and her Masters from the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy, Planning and Development. She has a Certificate of Completion from Emerge California Training Program and from the Black Women Organized for Political Action Training Program. Ms. Andrews is a Capital Portfolio Manager for West County Wastewater.
