Chris Mickelsen was re-appointed by the Coastside County Water District (CCWD) to the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency in 2013. He previously served two consecutive terms in 2003 and 2005. CCWD provides water to the residents of Half Moon Bay and several unincorporated communities, including El Granada, Miramar and Princeton.
He was elected to the CCWD board in November 2001 and currently serves as its President. A lifelong resident of Half Moon Bay, Mickelsen continues his family’s legacy of community service as a second generation member of the CCWD board. His father, Ronald Mickelsen, sat on the CCWD board in the 1980s.
Mr. Mickelsen is currently retired from a career in real estate. He now has more time to continue serving the public. In his spare time, he enjoys riding his bicycle over the cols of the Grand Tours.
Mr. Mickelsen holds an A.A degree in Business from the College of San Mateo. He welcomes the opportunity to affect the continued progress of the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency in ensuring the rebuilding of the San Francisco Regional Water System, and the reliable supply of high quality water at a fair price.
