Daniel F. Quigg was appointed by the City of Millbrae to the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency in January 2008. Millbrae owns and operates its own water utility, serving residential, commercial and light industrial customers, as well as Capuchino High School in San Bruno.
Mr. Quigg was elected back to the City Council in 2007 after leaving the Council in 2005 due to term limits. He previously served on the City Council from 1993-2005. He served three terms as Mayor of Millbrae in 1996-97 / 1999-2000 and 2010-2011. He was elected Millbrae City Treasurer in 1980 and he served through 1993.
During his 29 years as an elected official he served on many Boards and Commissions in San Mateo County. He was a member of the County’s Congestion Management/Air Quality Board and Regional Housing Needs Assessment Board. He was past President of San Mateo County Criminal Justice Council and served as a Member of the San Francisco Airport Roundtable. In his community, he was the Council’s liaison to the Millbrae Chamber of Commerce and was past Chairman of the Millbrae Water Board.
Mr. Quigg has lived in Millbrae for over 40 years with his wife. He owns and operates a small business in the community. His areas of interest are economic development, youth and senior activities, and citizen involvement.
